In the context of National Mediaforum Ashot Dzhazojan, the secretary of the Union of Journalists of Russia, the General secretary of the International confederation of the journalistic unions represents the international project «Free microphone» in the Central House of the journalist. Under its aegis the meeting with Arcady Mamontov— the journalist, the author and the leader of a cycle of documentary films "Special correspondent" on channel "Russia" will take place on 7th April.
The main topic is a special reportage. Arcady Mamontov has worked for several years as a "stringer" in "flashpoints" - in Moldova, Tajikistan, on border of Nakhichevan and Armenia, in the Baltic States. In 2000 he led reportages from places of flooding SSN "Kursk". Led reportages from the Chechen Republic, Abkhazia, Iraq, Beslan, from the centre in Dubrovka.
In 2008 was published Arcady Mamontova's first book "Cheque for a next world» — the novel written in a genre of criminal investigation. In 2009 released the film of Mamontov "Base" about the American base "Manas" in Kyrgyzstan.
For high professionalism and a civic stand Arcady Mamontov is awarded the order Honour, the Award "For courage", the Friendship Award, for great services to his country is awarded with medals.

From the 8th till the 12th June The V Belarus international media forum «Partnership for the sake of the future» was held in Minsk. (PHOTO)
The organizers of the media forum was the Ministry of the information of Byelorussia, the International confederation of the journalistic unions, the Union of Journalists of Russia, «Eurasia the Media centre», the Belarus union of journalists have acted with support of the International Academy of TV and Radio, Standing committee of Union State, Interstate fund of humanitarian cooperation of the state-participants CIS. Also the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Byelorussia, the Ministry of culture of Byelorussia, Executive committee of the CIS, the Minsk local executive committee, regional executive committees took part in the media forum organisation.
«The main goal, - according to Ashot Dzhazojan, the General secretary of the International Confederation of the Journalistic Unions,- became the cooperation of the Russian and international journalistic community in development of a positive sight at the Belarus validity, inclusion of leading journalists of mass-media from the post-Soviet territory and the European Union countries in illumination of processes of a sustainable development of the country and increase of a public interest of the foreign states to Byelorussia. We see the International media forum as the important and actual platform for an exchange of opinions and developments of new ideas and concepts between representatives of media community of the East and the West».
The 8th June journalists from the different countries gathered in Minsk. The honourable participants of a forum became
the president of a broadcasting company "Civilization", the leader of programs of the First channel, Anatoly Lysenko, the president of the International Academy of TV and Radio, Anthony Halpin, the chief-correspondent of the newspaper «The Times» ,Lion Nikolaev,
Andrey Konstantinov, the head of Agency of journalistic investigations, Valery Jacob, the editor-in-chief of the newspaper «New news», Vladimir Kasjutin, the editor-in-chief of magazine «Media the market», Maxim Shevchenko the host of the First channel, Jury Pilipenko, the editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Interlocutor", Andrey Milyohin, the president of Research holding "РОМИР", Ajrat Shavaliev, the correspondent of a broadcasting company "NTV" and many other known journalists. The day before many of them had time to visit the Moscow reception Embassy of Byelorussia in the Russian Federation. The visitors had been warmly accepted and had made a sightseeing tour in Minsk with visiting the Belarus architectural property – National library where practical conference of a media forum has taken place later.
Journalists took part in a solemn ceremony of putting on a wreath to the Obelisk on the victory Area. The greeting words at the ceremony announced the Minister of the information of Byelorussia Mr. Proleskovsky . The same day at Institute of journalism of the Belarus State University Anatoly Lysenko and Ashot Dzhazojan opened «Summer school of the press and TV» where masters of journalism held master classes and trainings for the young colleagues.
The first day in Belarus finished with the premier show of the opera "Carmen" in the National academic Bolshoi theatre of an opera and ballet of Byelorussia and reception with a buffet table on the occasion of Forum opening.
At the same time with Summer school of the press and TV started the project «Modern Belarus: a sight from outside». On June, 9th and 10 film crews of journalists of printing and television mass-media went to regions of Belarus to get acquainted with a country life, with folk customs, traditions, culture of Belarus. Correspondents and film crews visited six areas: Vitebsk, Mogilyov, Grodno, Brest, Minsk and Gomel. Visitors were accompanied by journalists from Belarus. During a trip around the country were orginized meetings with known and interesting people from the journalistic point of view. «These meetings, - noticed Ashot Dzhazojan , – became a live plot for the journalist, testifying that the life of the people of Belarus is interesting and diverse».
On June 11th in the big hall of National library of Belarus tool place a practical conference «Republic Belarus: partnership for the sake of the future». At 9:30 after registration of participants the conference was opened by the Minister of the information of Byelorussia Oleg Proleskovsky and the General secretary of the International confederation of journalistic unions Ashot Dzhazojan. The president of Byelorussia Alexander Lukashenko delivered a speech. Two debatable topics were announced: «Integration on the post-Soviet territory: Problems and prospects of the present stage of allied building» and «Belarus in global processes. The openness and modernisation as factors of innovative development of the country», and also sounded the names of moderators and speakers of discussions. Armen Smbatjan, the chief executive of Interstate fund of humanitarian cooperation of the state-participants CIS, told about creation of a press club of journalists of the CIS countries which becomes «a unique platform for work of journalists of the post-Soviet territory» and will promote a friendly interaction between the CIS countries. Conference lasted for the whole day long with breaks coffee and for dinner during which journalists could take pleasure in conversation with each other in informal pleasant atmosphere. The event finished with "the Minsk initiative» of the V Belarus international media forum in which participants of a forum noticed «the necessity and especial importance of revival of the general information field of the Post-Soviet states, uniform system of world outlook reference points and values» and made the promise to keep, «without rejecting a globalisation reality, the identity and to be integrated into the world community on the basis of a reconstruction uniting the related people uniform civilizational platforms» («the Minsk initiative» of the V Belarus international media forum «Partnership for the sake of the future»). After acceptance of "the Minsk initiative» and the end of the conference were being waited for in the State memorial complex "Khatyn", where they took part in a requiem devoted to memory of victims of the Great Patriotic War. Khatyn - the former village of Logojsky area of the Minsk area of Belarus - a symbol of tragedy of the Belarus people, tragical page of history of times of the Great Patriotic War. In memory of victims in 1969 on a place of the village Khatyn burnt together with inhabitants is built the memorial complex in which there is the idea of courage of people which brought incalculable victims for the sake of a victory.
The media forum finished with a solemn reception at restaurant «Gastsinny маёнтак» where the gathered congratulated each other, said thankful and parting speeches. Visitors again could estimate ethnic cuisine, take pleasure in performance of the Belarus ensemble of a song and dancing, pure wood air and the fine nature of a vicinity of Minsk.
«The journalistic word should promote forward development and prosperity of the states, cultural variety of the world and mutual understanding between the people,» - is told in «the Minsk initiative», and journalists at a forum confirmed the real importance of these words.The V Belarus international media forum «Partnership for the sake of the future» became a real and a scale platform for fruitful journalistic and not only cooperation of many countries.

The first International journalistic Competition «the Best in a profession». Organizers of the Competition — Interstate fund of humanitarian cooperation of the countries-participants CIS and «Eurasia the Media centre». It will pass with support of the Union of journalists of Russia, the International confederation of the journalistic unions, the International Academy of TV and Radio. Telling about the importance of Competition, the General secretary of the International confederation of journalistic unions Ashot Dzhazojan has emphasized that for the last twenty years on the post-Soviet territory apperead a new generation of journalists have not been poisoned with smells of "Сold war» and not thinking about great imperialism. Young journalists are peers of the Internet, people of a new formation. Organizers of the competition hope that our feeling of human and professional dialogue will allow to overcome old stereotypes and will help to find actual forms of dialogue.
The goal of the competition is to reveal the best professionals on all space of Eurasia representing different areas of journalism. Their media creativity will promote expansion of humanitarian cooperation and a cultural exchange between the countries-participants CIS and Baltics.
Promotion of nominees is made by the national journalistic unions and associations, editorial collectives, and also other organisations which are carrying out the activity in sphere of mass-media irrespective of information-legal forms. On the link «Eurasia of the Media centre» creates the multipurpose, interactive and protected page, allowing to publish works of nominees and to organise on-line and the off-line-voting covering all post-Soviet territory.
By the end of the Competition in December 2010 there will be a solemn ceremony of rewarding of winners. Тhe collection of the best publications and the photos sent to the Competition will be published. Television works of participants on a topic «So I live» and an exhibition of photos will help to learn about a real condition of the social and economic, cultural processes proceeding in the adjacent countries.
The competition is held on five nominations:
1) «the Best teleprogram» (a monetary prize — 500 thousand roubles),
2) «the Best broadcast» (250 thousand roubles),
3) «the Best publication in printing mass-media» (250 thousand roubles),
4) «the Best publication in the Internet edition» (150 thousand roubles),
5) «the Best photowork» (150 thousand roubles)
At the competition are accepted the journalistic works published in mass-media or transferred in a tele- and an air during the period from October, 15th, till October, 15th, 2010. The winners of the competition will be awarded with the diploma of the winner of the award, a memorable prize and a medal. “Eurasia Media-Centre” with the associations of journalists of Russia and Eurasian countries, with the support of the UNESCO Moscow Office and International Academy of Television and Radio announces the Fourth International Contest of photographs, television spots, videos, and documentaries "Report which changed the future".
The main goal of the Contest is to join efforts of journalists of Eurasian countries to promote freedom of expression and access to information through the media.
Evaluation of submitted materials will be done by the Jury in accordance with the following criteria:
• relevance of the topic; • civic attitude of the author; • artistic value.
Special prize will honour media outlet (editorial staff) that consistently promotes freedom of information.
Entry Requirements
All the materials for the Contest should be submitted to the selection panel by April 10, 2010.
To commemorate World Press Freedom Day 2010, an exhibition of photos and public screening of the best TV works as well as the award ceremony will be organized in Moscow in May 2010. The winners in all nominations will be invited to Moscow to attend the exhibition opening as well as the award ceremony. The Contest is open for professional journalists, photographers, news agencies and editorial staff representing post-Soviet countries.
Each work should be accompanied by a separate application form, consisting of a short autobiography of the author (with contact address and telephone numbers) and information about the represented media outlet. The information on the airtime is required for television programs.
The works must be presented in the following format:
Requirements for the photographs in printed form:
• photographs should be submitted in exhibition format – (size may vary from 30x40 cm to 50x70 cm);
• both color or black and white photographs are accepted;
• photographs should be submitted without borders, frames or any other design elements.
Requirements for the photographs in electronic form:
• photo materials can be provided by e-mail or on electronic media;
• accepted formats: JPEG, BMP or TIFF;
• size of photos must be at least 150 dpi, 1500X 2000.
Requirements for the video:
• videos, television spots and documentaries should be submitted on DVD.
All materials should be accompanied by interlinear translation into Russian.
The submitted works will not be returned to any entrant or reviewed.
The Organizers of the Contest reserve the right to publish the submitted works in printed and electronic materials related to the Contest.

We pay obeisance and invite you to take a part in The First International Journalist Competition «The best in profession». It’s organizers are Interstate Foundation of humanitarian cooperation of members states, «Eurasia Media-Centre», Russian Journalists Union, International Journalist Unions Confederation, International Academy of Television and Radio.
The goal of the competition is showing up the best professionals who present different parts of journalism around Eurasia space.
The organizers of competition hope that your mediacreation will help development of culture dialog between members states of the CIS and Bultic states and professional communication will let overcome old stereotypes in perception each other, will assist in realization integration processes between adjacent countries and will strengthen humanitarian collaboration.
The common theme of journalists works «I live so» is life of obedient people lived around Eurasia space and transformations in economics, science, education and other spheres.
We sure that The Competition «The best in profession» increases prestige of the journalist profession and will replace the lost confidence of society of our countries.
The competition has five parts: «The best TV-program/ TV-film» (the gift of money is 500 000 rubles); «The best radiobroadcast/ radio-plot» (250 000 rubles); «The best publication in print media» (250 000 rubles); "The best publication on the Internet«(150 000 rubles); «The best photo-work/ photo-report» (150 000 rubles).
The results of The Competition «The best in profession» will be resumed by The Jury consisted of the leading figures of professional journalist confederations of members states of the CIS. In December 2010 the laureates and the winners will be invited to the Moscow solemn ceremony, where they will be awarded by laureate diploma, gift of money, memorable prize and badge of honor.
The order of the competition
The works and documents should be presented search committee until November 1, 2010.
The multifunction, interactive and protected web-page is creating on the site «Eurasia Media-Centre». It lets public the works of nominees and organize on-line and off-line vouting around all post-Soviet space.
On the eve of the end of The Competition «The best in profession» an album will be printed. It will be the most interesting publications and photos. Also, we will organize the information demonstration of television works «I live so» and the photo-exhibition.
The separate application form must be done for the each work (it is available on the site), which consists of a short autobiography of the competitor with a contact address and telephone numbers, information about the presented media (title, date of publication). The information of the over-the-air is necessary for television and radio programs, the links to the address posting on the Internet — for nomination «The best publication on the Internet».
We accept the journalist works published on media or transmit by radio and television from 15 October, 2009 until 15 October, 2010.
The works must be presented in the format:
• «The best TV-program/ TV-film» on DVD (in the format MPEG-1). You can present it on the site www.youtube.com and send us the link to the address posting;
• «The best radiobroadcast/ radio-plot» on CD;
• «The best photo-work/ photo-report» on CD or on DVD (2000×3000 in the format jpg);
• «The best publication on the Internet» (with electronic copy of the text in the format PDF and Word on CD);
• «The best publication in print media» — in the original (indicating the page and header) and with electronic copy of the text in the format PDF and Word on CD).
All works of the competitors should have interlinear translation in Russian.
The works are non-refundable and not reviewed.
The organizers of The Competition reserve the right to publish the works in printing and electronic production devoted The Competition.
